Design Engineers
Due to a pipeline of large international projects and anticipated growth across our core UK markets, we are looking to fill a number of roles across our Engineering Department.

Production Supervisor
We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing operations and processes.


Principal duties & responsibilities
  • Enforce the Abacus HSE policy and other company standards.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the production teams to continuously improve quality, reduce waste and increase throughput.
  • To work closely with the company’s Design and Manufacturing Engineering functions to ensure designs and methods of manufacture are as robust as possible.
  • Create and submit reports on manufacturing performance and improvement.
  • To work closely with the Planning & Control function to organise workflow in line with schedule demand.
  • To coach and develop team members and to create training and succession plans.
  • Deliver staff briefs and maintain communications (business updates and work priorities).
  • Lead 5S, factory and workplace layout improvements.
  • Lead productivity measurement and associated improvement activities.
  • Any further related tasks as defined by the Operations Manager.

Qualifications & abilities
  • Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role.
  • The ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Experience in managing various types of manufacturing processes.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office.
  • Experienced in using SAP/MRP systems.
  • Good organisational and leadership abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
